2025 Rankings Update: Quarterbacks

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the 2023 high school football season quickly approaching, it is time for some rankings updates! For the state of Kentucky, the updated Top 150 rankings for the talented 2025 class have been posted. With that being said, I will be taking the next couple weeks to breakdown these updated rankings by position. He had a very impressive sophomore season, completing 221/360 passes for 3,136 yards, 34 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Bailey has a very strong arm, showing the ability to lead receivers down the field and hit them in stride in the deep passing game. He also has shown a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Bailey has also shown the ability to tuck the ball and make plays with his legs when needed, finishing this past season with 71 carries for 423 yards and three touchdowns. He is coming off an impressive sophomore season in which he completed 160/293 passes for 2,185 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. The main thing that stands out when watching James is his arm strength. He is able to use his arm to stretch the field and lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. Jack is also able to use his arm strength in the short/intermediate passing game by zipping passes into tight windows where only his intended  receiver can catch it. Elam had an outstanding sophomore season, completing 158/219 passes for 2,455 yards, 33 touchdowns, and only three interceptions. Kade throws an impressive deep ball, showing the arm strength to lead his receivers down the field and touch to place the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. He is also very dangerous as a ball carrier. Last season, Elam ran the ball 79 times for 520 yards and 14 touchdowns. He is coming off a strong sophomore season, completing 168/272 passes for 2,021 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Button has great pocket awareness/mobility, showing the ability to move around in the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to go through his progressions and find the open receiver. He also has a very strong arm, showing the ability to stretch the field and hit his receivers in stride in the deep passing game. Button has also shown the ability to make plays as a ball carrier, finishing this past season with 90 carries for 438 yards and six touchdowns. Pennington is coming off a solid sophomore season, completing 161/255 passes for 1,785 yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Luke has a very strong arm, showing the ability to lead his receivers away from opposing defensive back and hit them in stride in the deep passing game. He also has shown impressive ball placement, showing the ability to put the ball where only his intended receiver has a chance to catch it. Pennington also scored one rushing touchdown this past season.
