Pennington put his strong arm on full display this season, showing the ability to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride in the deep passing game. He has also shown impressive ball placement, putting the ball where only his intended receiver has a chance to catch it. Luke has also scored one rushing touchdown during Sayre’s playoff run. Pennington is committed to Dayton where I can see him being their quarterback of the future.

He had an outstanding senior regular season, completing 139/169 passes for 2,042 yards, 38 touchdowns, and no interceptions in 10 games. Pennington throws an impressive deep ball, using his arm strength to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride. He has also shown impressive accuracy, putting the ball where only his intended receiver has a chance to catch it. Luke also finished the regular season with three rushing touchdowns. Pennington is committed to Dayton where I could see him being their quarterback of the future.

He has also shown the ability to escape the pocket when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to complete passes on the run. Luke had also scored two rushing touchdowns so far this season. What makes Pennington so explosive under center is his strong footwork in the pocket as well as his outstanding passing ability. What makes Pennington so dangerous at the helm of the offense is his careful decision-making and ability to quickly scan the field for the best passing opportunity. I also like how Pennington can connect with receivers deep in the backfield, proving his accuracy in the air and ability to put points on the scoreboard.

Luke is coming off a strong junior year in which he completed 171/252 passes for 2,555 yards, 50 touchdowns, and zero interceptions in 13 games. Pennington does a great job of going through his progressions to find the open man and you won’t see him force many throws, hence his zero interceptions. He also has the arm strength to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game and has the touch to put the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. Luke also scored one rushing touchdown this past season. Pennington surprisingly doesn’t hold any official offers yet but he has received some college interest and I expect that first offer to come his way soon as he is a Division I caliber quarterback prospect.

While he doesn’t currently hold any offers, I expect some to come his way going into his senior year as he has received some college interest and definitely has the talent to play quarterback at the next level.
