Under Luke Pennington the Spartans went 27-1 over the last two seasons. However, with Pennington now graduated and playing at Dayton, Brooks Perry Brooks Perry QB Sayre | 2029 KY enters his hat in the ring for a shot at the future QB1. Sayre will have Gage Pennington (2027) and others on the roster, but Perry is the bet for the future. He’ll enter HS with incredible arm strength, in addition to familiarity with the program, as he’s played in the feeder program for years.

Perry saw his first action of the game on the Kentucky Future Stars’ second drive of the game. After Kentucky ran the ball on six of their seven plays on its opening possession, the game plan completely flipped with Perry and his arm in the game, as they attempted four straight passes. His day wouldn’t get much better, as he only completed two passes in the game (again, without official stats). However, his arm strength is clearly impressive. If he continues to grow–watch out here.

For the second consecutive year, Brooks Perry Brooks Perry QB Sayre | 2029 KY earned an invitation to suit up for the Kentucky Future Stars in their annual June tilt against Tennessee. While Perry wasn’t the starter last year, he got an ample opportunity to show what he could do. I haven’t seen any updated film or received any new information on Perry, but to be selected for this team, the ability has to certainly still be special. As of June 2024 (my last time seeing him live) he didn’t have the size of Cooper Scott Cooper Scott 6'0" | 150 lbs | QB Pikeville | 2029 State KY or (now) Austin Jacobson Austin Jacobson 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB St. Xavier | 2029 State KY , but I’m really looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table this year.
