I am additionally impressed with Landry Collett Landry Collett 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Leslie County | 2025 State KY , a quarterback at Leslie County High School. Collett made his presence known under center, picking up 333 yards and three touchdowns last week. What impresses me about Collett is his unpredictable playstyle, showcasing his ability to blast into the endzone himself and hit his receivers in stride from anywhere on the field. I also like how Collett can quickly scan the backfield for an open man and remain composed under pressure.

Landry Collett Landry Collett 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Leslie County | 2025 State KY is a quarterback who has been on my radar for a while now and continued to impress this past week. He led Leslie County to a Week 3 win over Magoffin County, completing 17/21 passes for 295 yards and five touchdowns. Collett throws a very impressive deep ball, using his arm strength to stretch the field and touch to put the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. He also showed the ability to escape the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Collett also finished the game as his team’s leading rusher with seven carries for 57 yards. Landry doesn’t currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and has the talent to play quarterback at the next level.

Collett’s ability to survey defenses before the snap, quickly diagnose coverages and deliver the football quickly was a major component of the Eagles’ 2022 offensive attack, and fans around the region are excited to see what this talented competitor can do for an encore. Starting all 11 games of his sophomore season, he completed 146 of 263 pass attempts for 2,228 yards and 30 touchdowns alongside 52 carries for 341 yards rushing and another 4 trips to the end zone. In addition to his consistent accuracy and knack for fitting the ball into very tight windows on intermediate routes, his quick release and ability to extend plays with his feet and athleticism seem the most prominent elements of his skill set. Whether throwing with his feet set or releasing the ball on the move, his ball placement remains exceptional and he displays the increasing ability to “throw his receivers open,” particularly on the downfield routes, by placing balls in locations where they can’t be contested by defenders.

Next up on my list is a player that I’m a little more familiar with. While Leslie County fell just short in a 46-40 loss to Martin County, sophomore quarterback Landry Collett Landry Collett 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Leslie County | 2025 State KY continued to impress. Collett finished the game completing 17/31 passes for 324 yards and five touchdowns. He continued to show off his strong arm, showing the ability to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride in the deep passing game. Collett also was able to put a nice amount of zip on his passes in the short and intermediate passing game. He showed the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his receivers had a chance to catch them. Landry doesn’t currently hold any offers but will definitely be a name to keep an eye on over the next couple seasons as he has the potential to be a highly sought after prospect.
