There were many, many eyes on the athletes at the Prep Redzone Next camp in Atlanta, here are some of the skill position guys I personally liked at camp.
My eyes kept returning to Rahman throughout the PRZ Next SE Showcase. Good size on the lefty gunslinger and threw one of the prettiest balls in attendance. Clean and consistent mechanics as well.
Kharim Hughley
Kharim Hughley
Although inconsistent in his accuracy throughout 1-on-1s, Hughley displayed a big arm, especially for his size, and could stretch the ball downfield as well as put some velocity onto his shorter and more intermediate throws.
Hunter Minton
Hunter Minton
Smaller frame but his arm was more than capable of hitting throws all over the route tree. I liked Minton’s timing and ability to fit the ball into tight windows during 1-on-1s.
Max Eubanks
Max Eubanks
Had a standout performance during 1-on-1s and came alive during the competition portion of the PRZ Next SE Middle School Showcase. Showed off accuracy and could lead his receivers open.
Vernon Slaughter
Vernon Slaughter
One of the bigger, talented and polished gunslingers at the PRZ Next ATL Event, Slaughter had a smooth and precise throwing motion and threw one of the better deep balls of the QBs in attendance. Showed great touch on passes down the seam or on corners and deeper out-breaking routes.
Drew Jackson III
Drew Jackson III
The 2028 prospect was consistent and polished during 1-on-1s and flashed some strong reps throughout the morning & afternoon. Showed soft touch into tight coverage windows.
Had one of the strongest arms in attendance and could really sling the rock and put velocity onto his passes, but his mechanics need to get cleaned up considerably if he wants to use that arm strength to full advantage at the varsity level.
Xavier Geter
Xavier Geter
One of the biggest frames of the QBs at the PRZ Next SE Middle School Showcase and possessed one of the biggest arms. If we had a “who could throw it the furthest” competition Geter would certainly finish near the top.
The biggest and baddest looking RB in a talented position group at the PRZ Next SE Showcase, Satterwhite impressed coaches and scouts alike throughout the day for a number of different reasons. Big-time potential and projection to the college ranks if he can continue his athletic development and prowess in 1-on-1 situations. Ran great routes of the backfield for a RB and beat every competitor he came across during RB vs. LB routes. Possessed shake and natural athleticism you don’t see too often from the youth ranks.
The most varsity-ready RB at the PRZ Next SE camp, Beard looks the part of a future national recruit. Has a solid build at 5’8″ and 165 pounds and was clocked at a 4.87 in the forty. Very balanced back that should contribute in high school early.
Highlights
Fantastic downfield threat during RB vs. LB 1-on-1s. Could easily burn LBs on deeper routes and showed he could track and reel in the football, even on tougher throws.
Highlights
Standout size for an 8th-grade WR/TE, Evitts length allowed him to show one of the largest catch radiuses of any pass catcher at the PRZ Next Showcase.
Highlights
My favorite receiver on the day and most likely my overall MVP from the position groups I scouted on Saturday, Bin-Wahad was fantastic in all three phases of the Showcase, particularly during 1-on-1s. A big play machine, Bin-Wahad was a great route-runner for his age, showing nuance in his ability to separate. He was also fantastic at the top of the route, showing off a ton of shiftiness and an ability to drop his hips. DBs couldn’t touch him, much less cover him. Superstar in the making and heading to powerhouse Grayson for high school.
Had a good showing during 1-on-1s and earned some big wins against quality DBs throughout the afternoon.
Still needing to add some inches and mass to his still-growing frame, Robinson was another pass catcher who could consistently win reps and create separation at the top of the route. Twitchy and balanced when working to get open.
Highlights
Another MVP from the loaded WR group at the PRZ Next Southeast Middle School Showcase, Drew possessed some of the softer hands at the event and was an impressive route runner capable of creating space and getting open at any point throughout the route. Showed off twitch and quickness every rep he took.
For one of the thicker and stronger WRs in attendance, Dent showed off some notable quickness and change of direction skills.
Highlights
Displaying some of the best size of the WRs, Goggans had strong hands and was great at completing and reeling in receptions through contact and tight coverage from DBs. If you’re looking for a WR who may play earlier rather than later out of the PRZ Next wideout group, Goggans is your man.
Highlights
My favorite LB on the day, McKinnon was a standout during all three phases of the PRZ Next SE Middle School Showcase: testing, individual drill work, and 1-on-1s. His strong combine numbers translated very well to 1-on-1s, where his change of direction skills were impressively on display and allowed him to read and react to RB routes before shutting things down and easily breaking on the ball. McKinnon will head to Alabama powerhouse Hoover High School next year.
One of the most physically put-together DBs at the PRZ Next SE Middle School Showcase and an immediate eye-catcher when checking out the DBs at the event. Also was technically sound and consistent in his technique and showed off clean footwork. Did a great job of staying square and not opening his hips to give a wideout a clean release.
Highlights
Another well-built DB from the PRZ Next Southeast Showcase, Brock was fluid in his backpedal and in coverage overall. Could change direction well and flip his hips when needed.
Highlights
Came alive during competition and was a baller during 1-on-1s, just like coaches at the event predicted. Great ball skills, consistent and clean footwork that never wasted steps, and my favorite trait of all: his finishing ability. Diggs never came close to giving up on a rep and broke up a ton of passes throughout the day outside of Atlanta. Closed as quickly as any DB at the PRZ Next Showcase.

Dashaun Morris
Dashaun Morris
The young buck took some lumps during 1-on-1s, which is to be expected when you’re the youngest at camp going against competition several years ahead of you, but Morris put out a lot more good than bad during the PRZ Next SE Middle School Showcase. Fearless at the catch point or through contact, Morris did a great job of mirroring WRs and staying right in their pocket when he kept his eye discipline. He broke up more than his fair share of passes from simply being tough, competitive, and athletic. Must-know DB name coming up in the recruiting scene.
Kaeden Washington
Kaeden Washington
Still a ton of room to grow, Washington was another young buck who was fearless and productive against older competition and was particularly impressive when put on larger pass catchers. Strong and physical with his hands, Washington wouldn’t allow himself to get bodied off the ball and could compete against 50/50 balls and play the ball in the air as well.
Zachary Ingram
Zachary Ingram
Had a great showing during 1-on-1s and broke up as many passes as I saw watching DBs during the PRZ Next SE Middle School Showcase. Competitive against all types of routes.
Good showing from the 7th grader, who was listed as a WR but competed with the DBs on Saturday. Showed a ton of quickness, and flew out of his breaks, especially on 3-step routes. Shut down the best WR at the camp during 1-on-1s and flashed a couple of eye-catching reps throughout the day.
