The first batch of 2026 rankings on Prep Redzone Oklahoma were released on Monday with the top 25 freshmen in Oklahoma. Throughout the week, we’ll break down prospects throughout the rankings and even a few others that are currently “Watch List” athletes. In this post, we’re putting a spotlight on the quarterback position. All four quarterbacks featured below not only got on the field this fall but they played at a very high level. Some were thrown to the fire and others led an experienced team all the way to the state title game. These aren’t the only quarterbacks you should know about in the state’s 2026 class, but it’s a great start with arguably the most productive players of the group.
Our first quarterback is the most successful in terms of team success as Millwood’s CJ Turnbull CJ Turnbull 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB Millwood | 2026 State OK helped guide his team to the Class 2A state championship game. Turnbull was a really good player for the Falcons throughout the season as he was perfect for the position he played. The Falcons had experience and some serious talent around Turnbull and the freshman pushed all the right buttons and let those dynamic playmakers make plays. It feels like Millwood is starting another run as they have several players in the 2025 and 2026 class that have the chance to be pretty special and Turnbull is certainly part of that group. Turnbull is the first of a few quarterbacks on this feature that will be participating in our Showcase camp in Broken Arrow on Saturday. We’ll certainly have a close eye on him during the 1 on 1 session when the competition gets ramped up.

Coming in at #2 for quarterbacks and #7 overall is Southmoore’s signal caller Cruz Campbell Cruz Campbell 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Tuttle | 2026 State OK . We mentioned earlier how some quarterbacks were thrown to the fire and Campbell is a good example of that. The Sabercats went 1-9 on the field in 2022 as they went through an extreme youth movement. Campbell wasn’t the only freshman or sophomore that got on the field in the fall. Campbell would get into the lineup later in the season and would show a lot of promise. Right now he doesn’t have the prototypical size like we see from a few other prospects at the position. But based on skillset alone, Campbell is ahead of the game and has the chance to really blow up. Like Turnbull, Campbell is registered for our Showcase camp on Saturday and it will be good to see him in person and throwing the ball.

Another quarterback that was thrown in the fire after the start of the season was Sand Springs freshman Easton Webb Easton Webb 6’4″ | 205 lbs | QB Charles Page | 2026 State OK . After starting the season splitting reps with another quarterback, Webb eventually won the job when district play rolled around and he never gave up the QB1 spot. Webb, like Campbell was thrown into the fire in one of the toughest districts in the state. Webb certainly went through some growing pains this fall but we have a feeling that’s only going to make him stronger heading into his sophomore season. The Sandites have a few 2026 prospects that need to be known about as head coach Bobby Klinck has this Sand Springs program going in the right direction. Webb is another quarterback we’re looking forward to seeing this weekend in Broken Arrow as he competes against other top ’26 signal callers.

Checking in at #4 overall and the top spot for quarterbacks is Locust Grove signal caller Titan Hix Titan Hix 6’3″ | 210 lbs | QB Locust Grove | 2026 State OK . The small school product was a breakout star at Hennessey from the first week of the season. He was the most productive quarterbacks in the state last season and when we put on the film, it’s hard not to be very impressed. From the arm strength and accuracy on the deep ball to his ability to manipulate a defense already, Hix really looks the part but the theme of this week with the 2026 class is “it’s still early” so there’s more to watch. Hix is headed to Locust Grove in 2023 after his dad became Locust Grove’s next football coach. The freshman certainly has the ability to be an instant impact player for the Pirates this fall. He torched defenses with his arm and his legs. We’re looking forward to seeing more of the small school standout.
