Continue ReadingDavis had a great season for the Panthers JV team. In 10 games he completed 66% of his passes for 1,400 yards and 14 TD’s. Davis is currently 6’2 160 pounds with time to continue to grow and fill out. He operates within a spread offense. He does a great job of distributing around to his different receivers. He can make passes to all parts of the field. Davis can also execute the read option run game. In the pocket he shows good footwork and timing in the short passing game and also delivers a nice deep ball. As he continues to grow and fill out, I’m excited to see how he continues to develop.

Wolpert announced this offseason that he intends to transfer to Upper Arlington for his sophomore and playing football for the Golden Bears. He had a really strong Freshman season for the Teays Valley varsity team, where he finished with 51 receptions and 660 yards and 5 TD’s. At 6’1 175 Wolpert has great length for a freshman receiver. He’s a very polished route runner for his age. He tracks the deep ball well and has good ball skills. He’s also not afraid to go over the middle and make contested catches. I’m interested to see how he continues to develop on a new team, in a new offensive system, and against D1 competition.

Moses, is a great athlete who could really play either wide receiver or defensive back. I really like Dantrell as a defensive back at this point. He’s very athletic and able to mirror receivers well into their routes. He has a great break on the ball and loves to lay the wood when he gets a chance. As he continues to grow and get stronger, I really think he could be a physical bump and run cornerback who has the ability to shut down top receivers. He played his freshman season West Clermont high school but has since transferred to Withrow High School where he’ll play for Head Coach Kali Jones.
Newell played running back, defensive back, and special teams for the Tarblooders JV team. He does a nice job on the offensive side running the ball, but I really like where he’s at defensively as a cornerback. CJ is quick in his read and react and plays the game fast. In coverage he does a great job of playing the ball and not the man. He’s really good in zone coverage and when the ball goes into the air expect him to make a play. CJ is also an enforcer as he lays good, hard, and clean hits. Receivers beware. Newell is definitely one to watch out for in the coming years!

Tristan is a fun watch on film. He played both running back and linebacker for the Cardinals. I like him as a linebacker in the future. He has some pretty special stuff when it comes to his speed and explosiveness from the middle linebacker position. Once he diagnoses a play, he fires like a missile. His speed down running lanes in pursuit is pretty special. He’s a strong tackler when he gets to the ball. He’s going to be a big weapon in the blitz game with his explosiveness. As most freshman, he has plenty of growing and getting stronger to do, but I expect to see Cornist do some pretty special things in the future.
At 6’4 235 pounds O’Neal is already a physically imposing player. He plays tight end on offense and both end and tackle on defense. I project Tyrell to the defensive side of the ball as he continues to grow and develop. I think he could grow into a tremendous interior pass rusher. He played JV as a freshman and physically dominated. He’s very strong at the point of attack. On offense as a blocker once he engages the defender he plays with heavy hands and drives his man backwards, many times to the ground. I lost count of the pancake blocks. He dominates on the defensive side of the ball as well. He uses his strength to walk linemen back into the backfield and then he’s active with his hands and can bat balls down with his length. With his combo of size, strength, and athleticism, if he can start to work on his pass rush technique and moves, I think he could be very, very good.

I’ve already talked about some very talented Quarterbacks in this 2026 class, Rocco Williams Rocco Williams 6’2″ | 195 lbs | QB Pickerington Central | 2026 State OH might be the best of the lot. He’s already getting D1 Power 5 attention. Williams has a good base to grow on right now at 6’1 180. He does a lot of things really well, but the trait I’m most excited about is his arm talent. His arm strength is solid at this point and an area that will continue to improve with time and physical development. The area that I’m most excited about with Rocco is his anticipatory throws and accuracy. He places the ball in spots where not only can his guy get it, but in a place where the receiver can make yards after the catch. He’s able to do this both from the pocket and on the run. He would have started at many schools across the state of Ohio, but he had a senior incumbent that beat him out this year. Don’t worry, though, he’s going to have plenty of time these next 3 years to show people what he can do!
