didn’t have his best game statisticaly, but it’s still worth putting him as a top performer just because he showed outstanding resiliency. Davis took a helmet-to-helmet hit early in the game and laid motionless on the Lucas Oil Stadium turf for several seconds before coming back in and leading his team to a state title. Davis also suffered an injury to his leg in the second half, but despite it all, he flashed excellent accuracy on the deep ball, a quick release and strong arm. The Towson commit, who transferred from Dayton Springboro before last season, graduates with an undefeated record and a two-time state champion.

Davis has always been incredibly steady and reliable for New Pal, and that was no different today. He’s efficient, runs the offense, finds the open man, and creates issues with his legs for the defense. All of that was true again against Merrillville. He ended the evening with just 84 passing yards on 11 attempts, but added 129 yards with his legs and 1 total TD.

is perhaps the state’s most underrated prospect. The Towson commit is putting together a great senior year, throwing the ball with excellent accuracy. He had a great game in a 42-6 victory over Pendleton Heights and is reportedly hearing from bigger schools. Davis had a great showing at Purdue’s summer camp. Expect some Power 4 teams to take notice of his talents.

Very underrated quarterback. Quick release, smooth delivery, ball comes off his hand hot. Very accurate with good rhythm and timing. Throws with excellent velocity in the intermediate game with great touch on the deep ball. Scans the field well, pulls trigger, proven dual-threat who can make things happen with his legs. Had 2,610 total yards and 36 total touchdowns last season.

An efficient performance from Davis helped guide the Dragons to a state title. He made key throws when he needed to and extended a few drives with his legs. He scored through the air and once on the ground as well. He didn’t make mistakes or give East Noble the ball with a short field. His 52-yard TD pass to go up 14-7 is when they took the lead and never gave it back. Davis is a smart, well-coached, and efficient quarterback who fits the Dragons’ mold perfectly.

Davis came into the program after transferring from Springboro HS (Ohio) and has done exactly what he needed to do. Davis is a very good dual-threat quarterback with an accurate arm and good touch on the deep ball.

Davis transferred to New Palestine from Springboro High School in Ohio. He is a smart quarterback who makes good decisions with the ball, flashes a solid arm and has a quick release, but he’s even better runner, which is key for any gunslinger who wants to play at the next level. He has given the Dragons a big boost on offense.

There weren’t a ton of quarterbacks at the combine, which was great for the QBs who were there. Not only did they get a bunch of 1 on 1 collegiate coaching, but they also got a bunch of reps. Seeing different QBs rotate through drills with different WRs is always one of the most interesting things to watch, in my opinion. You learn fairly quickly who can judge a receiver’s speed, trajectory, and know where to put the ball, and who can’t. Davis seems to have no issue adapting to whoever is running the route for him. The light for Davis began to click last year on the field, and since then he’s been a different player. The confidence is growing, he’s making strides reading defenses, and the Dragons should be in a good spot this fall with him at the helm.

Davis had a great season for the Panthers JV team. In 10 games he completed 66% of his passes for 1,400 yards and 14 TD’s. Davis is currently 6’2 160 pounds with time to continue to grow and fill out. He operates within a spread offense. He does a great job of distributing around to his different receivers. He can make passes to all parts of the field. Davis can also execute the read option run game. In the pocket he shows good footwork and timing in the short passing game and also delivers a nice deep ball. As he continues to grow and fill out, I’m excited to see how he continues to develop.
