October is a big month at Prep Redzone Oklahoma. Now that we’re at the halfway point of the regular season, we have a good idea of what’s going on across the state. So it’s a perfect time to update the prospect rankings throughout the various classes, and for the 2025 group, it’s time to launch the first watch list. While we could put a ranking out for the 2025 group, we just don’t think it’s right considering these prospects have AT BEST six games of varsity experience and for some, it’s less. So for now, we’ve launched the first 2025 Watch List, which will be updated to rankings later on. And in this feature, we continue to take a look at some of the standouts who would be ranked high considering they are having fantastic starts to their first year in high school. To check out Part 1, Click Here. Stay tuned to Prep Redzone Oklahoma throughout the week for more content on the 2025 class. And check back every Monday, when we update the rankings for the 2024, 2023 and 2022 classes!

– Defensive Back – Tahlequah
We lead off this batch of 2025 standouts with the only prospect that is listed as a defensive prospect right now. Tahlequah’s

immediately made an impact once he hit the varsity level and was starting at safety earlier this season. However, Robinson has been sidelined with an ankle injury but this is what we know about Robinson, despite being sidelined. He was one of the best athletes every time he stepped onto the field last year and was used as a quarterback who was asked to make play after play. He already looks the part physically and should continue to grow and get faster. By the end of his high school career, Robinson could end up being a versatile prospect who could play a few different positions. And finally, when former Spiro and Tulsa standout McKinley Whitfield says we need to check him out and starts talking up a kid, especially as a secondary prospect, we listen. Robinson is a prospect that we’re very intrigued about but obviously want to see more of when he comes back from his injury.

– Athlete – Moore
In one of the better 6A-1 games this week, Moore travels to Norman North on Thursday night. I cannot wait to check out this match-up as the Lions are the last undefeated team in 6A-1. They’re led by a senior superstar in
Marcus Dockins Jr.

is the next Moore standout that has gotten attention this year for the Lions during their undefeated start. You can tell by watching their first few games that Simon is being groomed to step into that Dockins role moving forward. Moore has used him on defense as a defensive back and on offense at wide receiver and running back. He’s even helped out in special teams as a returner. Dockins is having an outstanding season this year and Moore will miss him when he graduates but they’re also going to have three more years of Simon. The young freshman already looks like he belongs on the field and the more reps that he gets, the more confidence he’s going to gain. He’s going to be a versatile weapon for the Lions for several years.

– Running Back – Choctaw
Another player that I’m going to see in person this week is Choctaw freshman running back

as the Yellowjackets square off with three-time champion Bixby in a 1 VS 2 showdown. Choctaw has a wealth of talent in their various classes but one of the youngest talents has already had an impact on the varsity level. While the Yellowjackets knew that they would have some weapons at running back with junior

. Smith has already gotten meaningful reps against big time competition. One of our scouts spotlighted Smith’s performance in their victory against Booker T Washington. And that’s a Booker T Washington defense that has some of the best prospects in the state on the defensive side of the ball. The Yellowjackets have some impressive skill players in some of their younger classes and Smith has to be mentioned in that group. So far in the 2025 class, we’ve seen a few running backs that have really impressed us and Smith certainly belongs in that discussion.

– Running Back – Beggs
Speaking of running backs, here’s another one! If you checked out Part 1 of our 2025 Standouts feature, you saw that Beggs has one of the better young linebackers in

into the mix, and they are not afraid of putting Grayson in there to give rest to Brown and Martel and let the freshman get meaningful snaps. Beggs has a legitimate three-headed monster at running back right now. And while Brown and Martel get the majority of the looks, Grayson has shown that he could be a big name for the Demons in the future. Beggs will miss Brown when he graduates but they’ll still have Martel and Grayson for the next two years and the Demons are going to be able to ground and pound opponents for years to come. Grayson still has room to grow and get bigger. But he already looks like he belongs with guys like Brown and Martel and that’s enough for us.
