My first impression of Xavier Nelson Xavier Nelson 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Bishop Canevin | 2023 State PA will end up being a lasting one. I really can’t say enough about this kid’s game. He impacts every facet of the game, so much so that game-planning against him is pretty much futile. You’re going to have to live with his athleticism and hope he doesn’t torch you on both sides of the ball. This list is full of potential stock risers, I am not sure if any one prospect on this list deserves more of a jump on our ranks than Xavier Nelson Xavier Nelson 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Bishop Canevin | 2023 State PA . I believe Group of Five schools are close to pulling the trigger, I see the interest he’s earned from said programs. That being said, FCS and PSAC schools need to be all in on this kid. Despite his incredible production, tape, and position versatility, his measurables might keep those G5s at bay. Whoever ends up with this kid, they’re going to get quite the steal.

Nelson currently has accumulated 13 touchdowns, 29/899 yds receiving for a whopping 32.1 yds per catch average! He’s a skilled route runner that has wiggle & elusive rushing skills. Nelson’s speed is good & he’s an experienced reliable playmaker with the game on the line. Xavier can take a kick to the house at any time which is valuable to any college program. I think he is capable of playing multiple specialist positions collegiately hypothetically. Nelson hasn’t been offered but projects as a scholarship program-level contributor.

Xavier has received some FBS interest but hasn’t secured an offer just yet. He is an overall tough athlete with good quickness & speed. X catches passes away from his body naturally. Nelson’s a homerun threat every time he gets a return on special teams as well. Xavier runs crisp patterns, & he consistently turns small yardage plays into big gains. He projects as a  slot WR but Bishop Canevin lines him up wide when they need a big play. Xavier has D1 ability at the slot and valuable game experience to match.

You could make the case that Xavier Nelson Xavier Nelson 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Bishop Canevin | 2023 State PA was the best upperclassman at the program even with the class of 2022 being present. A real threat to score with any touch. Can be split out anywhere at wideout, and can act as a vertical threat or take hitches and slants 70+ to the house if need be. Nelson should act as the team’s offensive safety blanket. Hard to go wrong feeding this playmaker. Can’t forget how seasoned his play is at the corner as well. That same playmaking ability translate to the defensive side of the ball as well.
