Another Frederick Douglass offensive lineman who stood out to me when breaking down sophomore year film is Xavier Carter Xavier Carter 6'2" | 300 lbs | OL Frederick Douglass | 2027 State KY . Xavier has lined up mainly at center where he is a dominant run blocker. He does a great job of exploding through contact to drive his man down the field. Carter finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. He has also proven to be reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to get the snap off quickly then keep a strong base while taking on contact, not allowing for much penetration into the pocket. Carter recently picked up offers from Southern Mississippi and UT Martin, and I expect more to come his way as he continues to develop.
