Spafford was a record-breaking receiver as a sophomore at Mission Viejo and followed it with an outstanding junior season. He caught 57 passes for 1,017 yards with 14 touchdowns in 11 games and blocked two punts as well.

He’s a great route runner who can change directions quickly and catch defenders turned around. Spafford is good after the catch and is dangerous on tunnel screens or even fly sweeps. He can be a big play receiver and gets in and out of his breaks well. Spafford is committed to Georgia.

Spafford is one of the best receivers in the junior class and can make plays after the catch as well as being a top deep threat. Mission Viejo plays Centennial in the quarter finals and the Diablos had two 100-yard receivers the last time the two teams met two years ago.
