had himself a ball game on Friday night. In a 28-27 win over Dallastown in overtime Frey made plays all over the field on both sides of the ball. On offense, he had 15 touches for 117 yards, scored a touchdown, and scored the game-winning two-point conversation. He had 8 tackles on defense and continues to make plays all over the field for Central York on defense. Frey is an outstanding player on both sides of the ball.

is a good prospect in the 2025 class. He can play in space as a defender, which is hard to find. Frey’s recruitment also has started to heat up with up to 3 scholarship offers as of now. Below is what I wrote about him earlier this year:

is one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2025 class. He is a hybrid athlete who can play as either an outside linebacker or as a strong safety. He has good speed, athleticism, and strength. Frey is a good prospect that at our Prep Redzone Showcase, he made 1st team all camp. Frey should be an even bigger contributor next season. I am excited to see his progress”.

#11 Frey put his best foot forward on the day and turned a few heads during his reps. His 10’foot broad jump caught my eye, and after evaluating his film the explosiveness translates to his game. He breaks on the ball well, picked off 3 passes this past season, 2 for pick-sixes. He brings that power behind his tackles and when fighting off a lead blocker. On the day of the camp Frey earned his first offer to Wheeling University, keep an eye out for Frey to continue this level of play this off-season. The All-State safety could very likely be a key player for his Central York defense in 2024.

at any point throughout the year, it’s likely he’s working on his craft. This I relayed to any coach inquiring about the young man at our camp. Many inquiries came after watching Frey run a 4.69, and jumping a 10’0″ broad. Much like Micewski,

picked up his first scholarship offer out of Wheeling University after speaking with Coach Emerich post-camp. Very proud and excited to see his recruitment ramp up. It’s worth noting that Frey performed well days later at the York Mega Practice, with many more coaches likely monitoring his performance. Stock’s rising.

is one talented player. In the winter showcase, he was named a top performer at linebacker, and then in this showcase, he was a top performer at defensive back. Frey is someone who improved his ranking in a big way at the showcase as he displayed good coverage skills all day. Frey was excellent during the position drills and did a great job at one-on-ones as well in coverage. Frey should have a good chance to improve his stock moving forward.

Can’t recall too many prospects, not even one, who attended back-to-back PRZ Camps and earned Top Performer honors at two different positions. Back in January, Central York’s

took home LB MVP, wowing us scouts and forcing us to pay attention to him moving forward. Frey doubled down, attended our next available camp, and was in serious consideration for bringing home DB MVP. Frey is going to see a climb into the Top 250, likely a 200+ jump from where he currently stands. Wheeling was impressed enough to offer Frey a scholarship offer post-camp, Frey’s first recruiting opportunity. This is one of the better examples of a young man proving himself to important people and it immediately bearing fruit.

. Frey doesn’t have much of case against that notion, solid size, solid testing numbers, all verified now under our microscope. The kid has proven to be a valuable piece to the Central York puzzle over the years, so his current rank is a bit of an oversight. I will say 450 sounds “low” or “bad”, yet that’s still a D2 grade under my grading system. What’s Frey’s ceiling after outperforming an incredible LB group in attendance? The Top250 is a goal every prospect should prosper to achieve. I could see him climbing that high. Just 18 ATHs stand in his way at the moment, after a recent switch from “LB”.

Watch this young man’s stock rise once we re-update 2025s in the springtime. Can’t wait to see him climb into Top250 territory. After seeing him work in person, he’s likely a lock for that at this point. I was clearly too low on the LB MVP. 4.87 40 and a 9’0 broad. He’s got room to grow from a build perspective too. I’m all in on all things Frey from here on out.

played as an outside linebacker for Central York last year. He is one of the better outside linebackers I watched on film. Frey does an outside job playing the flat in a zone defense. Twice on film, I saw teams try to throw wide receiver screens at him and both times he intercepted the passes and returned them for touchdowns. He also several times got off blocks and made tackles near the line of scrimmage. Frey is also good at setting the edge and either forcing the ball carrier inside or making the tackle. He is an excellent tackler in the open field. Frey is a talented linebacker and I cannot wait to see him compete in the position drills at linebacker at the Prep Redzone Showcase. Last year the linebacker’s position drills had lots of competition, and I am expecting the same thing for this showcase. So it is a good opportunity for Frey to impress several college football coaches attending the event.
