Jereome Larue is a speedstar running back from Central York. He recently transferred from Bishop McDevitt. He is the highest-ranked running back in the 2028 class. He decided to shut down his recruitment, and he committed to Maryland. Getting a chance to play for a Big Ten school is an incredible opportunity.

Once he gets into the open field, he is off to the races. He also has a twitchy athleticism that allows him to make defenders miss in the open field. He recently transferred from Bishop McDevitt to Central York. He will add an impressive element to the Central York backfield. He could also find some time in the slot. This was a huge pick-up by Central York.

Jerome Larue is a special running back. His ability to take a handoff and run for big plays is special. He can score anytime he touches the ball because he has such elite speed. Once he gets into the open field, he is off to the races. The other part of his film that I like is how patient he is as a running back. His ability to be patient wait for the hole to open and explode through it is impressive. Larue has special traits, and with a strong off-season he is in line for a big season.

He has elite quickness and bursts, and makes defenders miss in space well. He recently picked up an offer from Pittsburgh. He is also planning on attending Oregon’s football camp in June. No offer yet for him from the Ducks, but still a great opportunity to fly out and work out from a great program. Larue is in line for a big sophomore year, and the offers should roll in.

Jerome Laure was one of the best athletes at the Prep Redzone Showcase. His ability to run as an athlete is incredible. He has great short bursts and cuts. His ability to cut and make defenders miss is special. He is the type of athlete that can make most defenders miss in space. He also has elite speed as he can run by defenders, especially when he gets a little crack of an opening. At the showcase, he had to leave early because of a minor injury, but he earned 1st team selection on offense and was in the running for MVP. I came away super impressed with him; his future is bright.

Jerome Larue was one of the quickest and best athletes at the Prep Redzone Showcase. His ability to get in and out of breaks was impressive. He was awesome to watch when he did jump cuts in front of bags during position drills. He has this speed and twitchiness that is special. He is a great athlete who has all the tools to be a division 1 College Football player. Larue has several Division 1 offers, and I expect more to come his way.

I admittedly didn’t get to see much of the highly-touted freshman back Jerome Larue. Larue went home earlier than expected due to injury, so his camp performance cannot be truly evaluated. That being said, LB and RB coaches raved about him during testing and individual drills, as well as my colleague covering RBs Pat Weider Pat Weider 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR/DB Muhlenberg | 2025 PA . Watching Larue work against linebackers in a pass-catching drill gave those watching a clear indication that this is not your average athlete. Larue was still named a Top Five RB performer post-camp.

I hope to see Larue again before our freshman ranking update, as I want to learn if the things I think about him are true.

Larue holds early offers out of Syracuse, Marshall, and Virginia Tech.

Jerome Larue is another one of the best prospects in the State. He has great speed and shows it off by taking it to the end zone anytime he touches the ball. He also is elusive and makes defenders miss in space well. Larue is one of the best prospects at the showcase and he should be able to compete with the other running backs for one of the top performers. He also currently has three offers from Virginia Tech, Marshall, and Syracuse.

Jerome Larue had a great freshman year as he was part of the Bishop McDevitt team, which won a PIAA State Title. He is stuck behind two dynamic running backs, so he did not get a ton of playing time, but when he did, he played at a high level. Larue is a good athlete who has elite speed. When he hits the hole, he explodes through the hole and makes defenders miss. He is especially lethal on outside runs where he shows the vision and speed to hit the hole for a big play. Larue already has several Division One offers, and I expect more offers to come his way.

In my opinion, the most complete 2028 Pennsylvania Running Back. Strong and runs a 4.41 in the forty. Already holds a Virginia Tech verbal offer.
