As mentioned throughout our two PRZ recaps of the South Dakota State second & final prospect camp of the summer, the TE group that descended on Brookings for the camp was the strongest we saw all summer, both in top-end talent and depth. No wonder, as the Jackrabbits are the TEU of the Upper Midwest (behind the Iowa Hawkeyes), and the variety of body types and amount of collegiate upside was reflected well in the 2026 prospect camp #2 TE group. Another standout from the group who brought a unique body type and frame to the equation came out of the always-talented Sioux Falls area and Sioux Falls Jefferson High School.

, a 6’2+, 231 lber. with a 6’4″ wing and 10″ hands, popped off a 40 in the 4.9s, a 4.70 shuttle, and a 9′ broad jump to highlight some fun athleticism at his bowling ball-esque size.
The South Dakota TE produced equally strong & effective showings in run and pass exercises. In run blocking 1v1 drills against LBs, Bruske was exploding off the snap eyes up and with good pad level, creating impressive collisions that were winning at the contact point. Bruske was also displaying the strength and toughness to be a formidable and asset as an blocker at the collegiate level, and he had impressive juice as a route runner and pass catcher as well. PRZ especially liked his footwork at the top of the route, which did a couple LBs particularly dirty throughout the 1v1 session. Morningside and Dakota Wesleyan involved right now.

Tyler was one of a few Dakotas tight ends that caught my attention at the Augustana Prospect Camp, and left with rising stock and an offer last Sunday in Sioux Falls. He showed off as one that showed off his big hands and sizable catch radius that you can tell has developed in both of those skillsets since the fall season ended. Looking at Tyler from a route-running perspective, I could also grasp the growth from a fluidity perspective from start to finish on short and intermediate routes. I could surely see Tyler cracking into our top 5 in the tight end group by the end of the summer in South Dakota and I am sure, is going to get more and more attention from the next-level within the next month or so.

The next up tight end out of Sioux Falls Jefferson that I feel has a great chance to rise into our top 5 group of tight ends this summer, is 2027 TE

. The 6’3 235 pounder has long arms and a sizable catch radius that college coaches will want to follow this summer and as a route-runner, shows off the fluidity but also is able to improvise on his route if the first look isn’t there which is not something you see a ton out of the TE position. He’s a very capable run-blocker that can accelerate your run game forward that can get to the second level. I feel watching his 7v7 reps this spring really show you the growth he’s made since the fall season as a pass-catcher and that will reflect on what you see at camps this summer out of Tyler. He fits the mold as a scholarship-level tight end in my eyes.

Tyler was a new addition to our 2027 radar in last months’s update and is a tight end that could move up this Spring. The 6’3 235 pounder from Sioux Fall Jefferson, shows off great hands and sound route-running ability for his size and brings the fluidity you want to see out of your tight end position. I like his upside as a run-blocker and how it can show development into camp season and beyond into his senior season based on how quick he gets off the line down to the point of attack. He’ll see a much bigger role for the Cavaliers in his senior season for sure.
