I had a high grade coming into our spring Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase on Anthony, and he lived up to it not only during the showcase but thru his junior season being named All-Conference in the Cavaliers defensive trenches. He is one of the more fiery pass-rushers off the snap not only in 11AAA, but in South Dakota in this 2027 and surely looks more agile and productive with his hands getting off blocks. He’s also grown from a vision perspective, as I like the attack angles getting to the ball carrier that Anthony has produced on his tackles. He was getting a lot of attention from college coaches in Aberdeen last time, and I would love to see him back for more would could be a probable DL MVP in his second round.

Anthony got on my radar a few months ago when I started tracking how elite his 100-meter times were for his size and had a great showing at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase last Saturay. He impressed college coaches at all three levels that I talked to, and wasted no time showing off that speed, running a 4.78 at 6’2 223 pounds which was clearly the best time in either of the trenches. I felt from start to finish, his pass-rush moves got more progressive and instinctive by the end of our showcase as I saw more agile hands off his sheds to close out the session. He sure is a must add to my 2027 rankings, as I am somewhat kicking myself I didn’t have him on my radar sooner as I love this young man’s ceiling. Twitter

There is very few 6’3 225 pound athletes in the Dakotas that run a 11.12 in the 100 meter dash, which Anthony does as a defensive end that we will be watching closely in Aberdeen on Saturday. He shows off a wirey and firey first step but I will be watching close during Indy and 1v1s to see how fast he gets off his blocks as that is an upside for him that I will have my eyes on this weekend. Not only does Anthony have the speed I like, he surely comes off as a defensive end that can get to the edges of the inside box and go make a play which shows me the high motor this young man plays with that will be another watch I will want to get in the live eval on Saturday.
