A player I saw multiple times over the spring/summer and always impressed, Tru will be a under the radar star for McNamara. He makes an impact on both sides of the ball at OG and DT, but DL is where he will make his home at. Tru plays with good pop a the LOS and fires out off the snap. He’s a high motor play with active hands. Tru has multiple rush moves he can use, able to dip and slip past blockers and use a good club/slap move to get OLs hands from getting in to his chest. Tru holds two D3 offers right now and I expect plenty more of a similar level to come calling this season.

Tru will be a key piece to McNamara’s defensive this fall with his ability to impact the game from an IDL spot. I saw Tru earlier this spring at the Bowie St. Mega Camp and he caught my eye in drill work & 1v1’s. He plays with nice pop off the snap and is an athletic player from the DT spot. Quick, twitchy, with short area explosiveness leads to Tru being able to beat OL within his first steps. He plays with a high motor, and displayed impressive active hands at camp. Has an array of pass rush moves he can go to, able to dip and slip past blockers, slap away OL hands and has good hips/feet to beat blockers with in & out moves.
After summer camps Tru holds two offers from Hampden-Sydney and Catholic U. Being a high academic kid as well with a 4.0 GPA, I feel those D3 High academics is a great fit for Tru. A place where he will be able to play and impact games while getting a good degree. Tru is a player that if he was 6’2″ he would more than likely be an FCS kid because he plays like one. So D2/D3 schools will be all over him this fall as he looks to have an impressive senior campaign.
