Khaleel Gbey Khaleel Gbey 6'3" | 280 lbs | DL Bishop McNamara | 2026 State MD is a powerful presence in the trenches who consistently sets the line of scrimmage with his strength and physicality. He anchors down well at the point of attack, using strong, active hands to disengage from one-on-one blocks and disrupt plays before they can develop. Against the run, Gbey shows a firm base and the ability to hold his ground, making him difficult to move off his spot. His production has translated to interest at the next level, as Gbey currently holds offers from Morgan State and Stonehill, with his physical style of play, he has a strong foundation to continue developing as a collegiate defensive lineman.

Khaleel comes over to Bishop McNamara by way of Herndon HS in VA. A contributor on both sides of the line, he makes his biggest impact at DL. Khaleel is a player with power, strength and a high high motor. He has shown the ability to play anywhere along the DL – odd front DE, NG, and conventional 4-3 inside DT. A physical thick built, good lower half D-lineman, Khaleel is able to get great leverage when engaged with OL and over power them at the LOS. He has nice short area burst, able to fight through contact, shed off blockers and quick to find the ball. He moves and runs well, a nice athlete at his size. Will get on his horse and go chase down the ball and play to the whistle. While currently only holding one offer from Ferrum, I expect Khaleel to have a monster season and garner attention of a lot more colleges.

Notching 2nd team all Liberty District honors as a sophomore Herndon’s Khaleel Gbey Khaleel Gbey 6'3" | 280 lbs | DL Bishop McNamara | 2026 State MD is one of our biggest rankings riser for the entire 2026 class. A very nimble nose guard/defensive tackle for the Hornet, Gbey is light on his feet at 6’3 and 280 lbs. he is also a very smart football player. You do not see him over pursuit on the run and he you can catch him many times stopping screen passes and blowing up plays at the line of scrimmage.

This kid is just getting started and he will be playing alongside a defense that should have multiple FBS level starters. The ceiling is high for Gbey one that should lead to interest from FCS coaches our higher this summer.
