The JMU committed Safety controls the backend of the McNamara defense and he is the type of player the QB always needs to know where he is on the field. A muscled up guy who also brings good speed Track kid with a recorded 11.6 100M, Dkwan can hit and cover. Rangy player with shifty hips and a big wingspan allows him to cover ground and go make a play on the ball. He is able to run the alley and smack the ball carrier as well. Dkwan’s speed and quick twitch also allows him to be a plus impact player in the return game for BM. While I like him best at the SS spot at the next level, his skills set allows him to be a versatile defensive playmaker in HS.

Has a few impressive plays in his highlights, including an 80-plus-yard pick-six. Broke up a few passes in his highlights. Solid against the pass in zone coverage, he shows good awareness of routes. Thomas is very physical, fearless, and consistent in making tackles with solid form. I think he shows excellent play recognition against the run, as he’s quick to react and fill gaps against the run. I think he’s strong against the pass and run, but his best plays are run-support-related.
