Brandon comes in as the #2 DB prospect at CB and has continued to improve each & every week this fall. He’s got solid length for his frame and a build that should fill out nicely in the coming years. Possesses very smooth, fluid hips that are ideal for the position. He can turn and burst, re-direct & explode out of breaks. Brandon sticks to WRs, is able to stay in their pocket and play tight man or off coverage. Routinely displays good instincts and nice ball skills. He can turn and find the ball for PBUs/INTs. Brandon is a plus in run support as well. A physical tackler for his size, doesn’t shy away from contact. Brandon is a DB that needs to be on people’s radars and will be one offenses fear for years to come.

Banks being a starter as a freshman cornerback is very impressive. He plays a physical style, especially against the run, that you don’t often see in upperclassmen. Once he recognizes a run play coming to his side, Banks comes down fast but controlled and makes solid tackles (not ankle biters). From a pass coverage standpoint, it looks like he’s in a system that plays zone (cover 2 and quarters coverage). Aggressive when contesting at the catch point; some pass breakups are in the highlights. Love his instincts. Highly competitive and only going to get better.
