Cornist, a recent Tulane commit, is a beast at the RB position. When looking at Cornist’s senior season it is clear the time and resilience Cornist resembles and is just a small part of his talent. Strategy is a crucial to Cornist’s game play. When looking at the film it is evident that he is hard on defenses as he continues to plow through defensive backs. In addition, Cornist has no fear when coming through opposing defensive lines and then elevates the play to go the distance. 60+ yard drives ran by Cornist alone, often running into the end zone, his power behind his running and athleticism is incredible. I cannot wait to see the off-season progress and then Cornist at the collegiate level in the fall.

Trey had previously committed to Georgia Tech, but after careful consideration he decided to reopen his recruitment. Since Cornist went back on the market he’s earned offers from P5 schools like Michigan State, Kentucky, and Kansas State, as well as several G5’s. At 6’0 210 Cornist is a big, powerful running back. He has great vision and is a very good one cut runner. He has the body type to handle a heavy load of carries. He can run between tackles, or outside the tackles in zone stretch type runs. Don’t let the size fool you he can turn on the burners when he needs to, and he’s a nightmare to tackle in the open field, as he can both run over or has the cutting ability to make you miss. I expect his recruiting to continue to gain more momentum with several more Power 5 offers towards the end of the season and in the upcoming offseason.

The Senior RB and future Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket had an amazing game on Friday night as he rushed for 319 yards on 17 attempts (18.8 ypc) and scored 5 TD as he helped Winton Woods defeat Anderson 62-31 to remain undefeated at 6-0. He shows good quickness and agility as he gets to the edge and turns the corner. Once in the secondary, he uses his excellent combination of speed, athleticism and power to break tackles and pick up significant yardage or score on a long touchdown run.
