Continue ReadingDaylen is a smaller receiver who I think will make a really good slot receiver at the college level. He has good short space quickness, he’s excellent catching the ball in traffic. He’s extremely smart and uses that intelligence along with his physical tools to beat coverages. At this point in his career Daylen is still light and in need of adding weight and strength. That being said his weight hasn’t affected his physicality as a player against very good competition so as he adds that weight and strength, I really expect him to take his game to an even higher level.
Schondelmyer has had a huge Senior season after transferring into Springfield. He has the accuracy and arm strength to make all of the throws. He doesn’t just put the ball on receivers he puts it in a place where they can make plays. He’s not afraid to go to the second and third reads on a play and thus spreads the ball around. He will also stand in and accurately deliver the ball in the face of a rush when he knows he’s going to take a hit. He has the intangibles you look for in a Quarterback as a leader and a culture builder. He’s tough and has a frame that has allowed him to miss very few games over his career. He’s a top candidate for Mr. Football Ohio. Bryce has several D2 offers and is getting D1 FCS interest.
Highlights
Trey had previously committed to Georgia Tech, but after careful consideration he decided to reopen his recruitment. Since Cornist went back on the market he’s earned offers from P5 schools like Michigan State, Kentucky, and Kansas State, as well as several G5’s. At 6’0 210 Cornist is a big, powerful running back. He has great vision and is a very good one cut runner. He has the body type to handle a heavy load of carries. He can run between tackles, or outside the tackles in zone stretch type runs. Don’t let the size fool you he can turn on the burners when he needs to, and he’s a nightmare to tackle in the open field, as he can both run over or has the cutting ability to make you miss. I expect his recruiting to continue to gain more momentum with several more Power 5 offers towards the end of the season and in the upcoming offseason.
The slippery speedster Bryant leads the Crusaders in receiving. Bryant is a big-time vertical threat. He uses his big-time speed to get behind defenses. Moeller also uses reverses and throw to him off of jet motions to get him touches. Bryant has several G5 schools including Arkansas State, Central Michigan, Toledo, and independents Army and Navy.
Kuechler plays both tight end and defensive end for the Tigers. He plays with heavy hands and is strong at the point of attack. He plays with an endless motor. I look at him as more of a strong side end that can set the edge against the run, but also get to the quarterback from time to time. Keuchler also excels in the classroom which has helped him earn offers from schools like Dartmouth and Colgate. He also has a G5 offer from Ball State and is getting interest from Ohio University.
Ardell put out some big-time film in this his senior season. He has really good straight-line speed but is also a savvy route runner that uses sudden breakd to create separation. Ardell has great length body control that he uses go up and high point and win 50/50 balls. Banks was committed to Toledo, but decommited from the Rockets in September. The big receiver has since picked up Power 5 offers from Kentucky and Cincinnati. Once the season is over and more coaches get a chance to see Banks senior film, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Banks pick up more Power 5 offers.
Summerlin is a long strong safety who can play in the box or on the backend of the defense. He brings a physical style of play that puts receivers on notice. Playing at Archbishop Moeller he plays a high level of competition week in and week out. He has the frame to continue to add weight and strength I really like his ceiling at the next level. Summerlin has a G5 offer from Akron and offers a few different D1 FCS schools. In my opinion Summerlin is a really good fit at the G5 level.
