About Bryce
Expert Analysis
Jared Luginbill | Prep Redzone Scout
Bryce had a really nice game. He led and managed the offense. He processed and got the ball out quickly. He put the ball in spots where his receivers could make big plays. I think it’s almost looked down upon sometimes when quarterbacks that make the smart play by taking what’s given to them and not forcing the ball deep into coverage. Bryce absolutely has the arm talent to take and hit deep shots. He finished the evening 20-31 312 yards, 4 TD’s and 0 INT’s. Schondelmyer never gets rattled. In the eyes of a blitz or rush he does a great job of standing in and delivering when needed and he knows when to pull the ball and not take a loss. He moves the chains and rarely gets his team behind the sticks. The tougher the competition the ability to stay on schedule and not take negative plays is an important trait that Bryce does very well.

Schondelmyer has had a huge Senior season after transferring into Springfield. He has the accuracy and arm strength to make all of the throws. He doesn’t just put the ball on receivers he puts it in a place where they can make plays. He’s not afraid to go to the second and third reads on a play and thus spreads the ball around. He will also stand in and accurately deliver the ball in the face of a rush when he knows he’s going to take a hit. He has the intangibles you look for in a Quarterback as a leader and a culture builder. He’s tough and has a frame that has allowed him to miss very few games over his career. He’s a top candidate for Mr. Football Ohio. Bryce has several D2 offers and is getting D1 FCS interest.
