After initially committing to Minnesota, Brown had a change of mind.  A change that would lead him to the blue grass state and the blue and white of the Kentucky Wildcats.  Brown is a young man I’ve had the pleasure of watching since his sophomore year.  He finished his senior season with a bang, finishing with over 1,600 yards receiving and 21 touchdowns.  Brown has excellent quickness and solid speed to go with it.  Early on in his career Brown did most of his damage in the vertical routes and stretching the field.  As he’s developed as a receiver, he’s expanded his route tree.  Brown does a great job of using hesitation and acceleration to get free releases.  Once he’s in the open he’s almost impossible to defend.  Brown is also a play maker in the special teams return game as a returner.  When he gets the ball in his hands, he’s electric.  He darts in and out of defenders weaving his way to the endzone.  As Brown adds weight and strength, I think he has a chance to be a really good play making receiver at the college level.

Brown had a big night going for 177 yards on 6 catches and 2 touchdowns.  Browns speed, quickness, and polished route running creates serious separation.  When he gets the ball in his hands he’s a threat to take the ball to the house on every play.  He’s a menace for defensive coordinators and their defenses.  He really forces you to bracket him with someone behind and someone underneath, because if you try and choose one or the other, he’s going to burn you.  Brown originally committed to the University of Minnesota before reopening his recruitment and committing to Kentucky.
