Most successful receivers do this, but it stood out for Borchers – he uses his hands so well to catch the ball. He rarely lets the ball get near his body when he makes the catch. The junior is averaging nearly 15 points a game while grabbing over four boards a contest.

Borchers excels as a reliable and physical blocker, showcasing toughness and strength, and brings a tenacious attitude to his overall game. His route-running is a major positive, as he creates separation with quick footwork and can execute sharp cuts at the top of his stem, making him a challenging target for defenders to cover. The junior posted 40 catches for 723 yards and 6 TDs this fall and has visited South Dakota State, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, and Concordia-St. Paul during the season. An impressive route runner who can start/stop and break off his routes smoothly, Borchers shows off good speed, a big catch radius, fearlessness and concentration when going up for the rock, and the ability to win contested catches and complete receptions through contact. He can win reps on a variety of routes and is a smooth operator who catches whatever you put in front of him. That Anoka trio is going to have a huge offseason/senior campaign.

Anoka possesses one of the best 2025 classes of anyone in the Metro right now, with talent in the trenches and at the skill spots with impressive athleticism, physicality, and varsity experience already on display. Good speed, tough after the catch, and more than able to create splash plays for his offense.
