is a familiar face to PRZMN on the offseason circuit, as he’s a diligent worker and a long-time trainee of 612Q’s. Although the 2025 season did not go as planned for both Wayzata and Soukup himself, the kid is still a can’t-miss quarterback in a non-padded competitive setting and especially, as he proved yesterday, in an off-platform context. The forklift of a quarterback was pretty much on the $ all afternoon long, showing off a smooth, compact, and quick release that was arguably the best on the move of the non-seniors in attendance. A lot of the drills had “rushers” in the face or simulating pressure of the thrower, and Soukup was especially proficient at getting the ball out quickly, with velocity, and from a variety of different arm angles. I also liked his twitchy short-area movement ability and concise footwork also stood out in an off-platform setting, and it was easy to see that Soukup’s tremendous overall strength allowed him to easily complete and handle tougher throws from difficult, uncomfortable, yet applicable to game setting angles that other QBs in his class struggled with. Never hurts to hit the weight room. Going to be a huge “prove it” year for Wayzata in 2026, and Soukup will be right at the forefront of this comeback season. Keep an eye on this forklift of a QB this coming summer as well.
