is another member of the CAL defense who stood out in last week’s win. Perkins lines up at corner where he is very reliable in coverage. He does a great job of reading routes in zone coverage and flowing through the secondary to put himself in position to make a play. When the ball is thrown his way, he does a great job of breaking on the ball with perfect timing to make a play, coming away with an interception in the win and returning it for a touchdown. He also showed the ability to provide support against the run, finishing the game with seven tackles and returning a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Stone is committed to Ball State where I can see him becoming a key piece of their secondary once he gets there.

, a defensive back at Christian Academy of Louisville. Perkins makes a considerable difference in the backfield, using his wingspan to lock down receivers and force the incompletion. I also like how Perkins can read the offense like a book and quickly elevate off the ground to haul in the clutch interception.

In zone coverage, he does a great job of reading route combinations and putting himself in position to make a play. When playing man, he has shown the ability to open up and run with opposing receivers to mirror their routes. is another defensive back who has been on our radar for a while and continued to stand out this past season. Perkins lines up at corner where he is very reliable in coverage. When the ball is thrown in his direction, he has shown the ability to break on the ball with perfect timing to make a play, coming away with one interception and returning it for a touchdown this past season. He also finished the year with 32 tackles and a tackle for loss in 15 games, and made an impact on offense, catching 23 passes for 445 yards and four touchdowns. is a very player who jumped onto our radar quickly this offseason. He has been very impressive in the camp circuit this summer to follow up some strong sophomore year film. Perkins lines up at corner where he does a great job of reading the quarterback and route concepts in zone coverage to put himself in a position to make plays. He has also shown the ability to open up and run with receivers in man coverage. Perkins finished last season with 23 tackles, three tackles for loss, and an interception in 12 games. Stone currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky and Miami (OH), and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the Division I level.
