Chapman Russell Chapman Russell 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Christian Academy Of Louisville | 2026 KY played a key role in CAL’s dominant win over Union County last week. He lines up at outside linebacker where he is very reliable against the run, showing the ability to read the play quickly then use his speed to get to the ball carrier before they can get going. Chapman is a very reliable tackler in the open field, finishing last week’s win tied for the team lead in tackles with 12 along with two tackles for loss. He also showed the ability to rush the passer, finishing the game with one sack. Russell doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should be paying close attention to moving forward. Chapman and the Centurions will be looking to continue their quest for their fourth-consecutive 3A state title in a semifinal matchup against Bell County this week.

Coming in at number five on my list is Chapman Russell Chapman Russell 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Christian Academy Of Louisville | 2026 KY , a linebacker at Christian Academy of Louisville. Russell stands out with his ability to read the offense like a book and make crucial stops. Russell also proved he can read the short pass and maneuver the pocket to drop the running back to the ground. I also like Russell’s ability to chase down receivers in the backfield.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is Chapman Russell Chapman Russell 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Christian Academy Of Louisville | 2026 KY , a linebacker at Christian Academy of Louisville. Russell makes a huge difference defensively with his ability to be physical in coverage and wrap up receivers down the stretch. I also like how Russell can read the short pass and swat the ball to the ground. Russell also showcased his ability to blast through the offensive line and sack the quarterback.

Russell makes a considerable difference due to his explosiveness and ability to maneuver the pocket with ease, slip past openings in the line and consistently blast offensive playmakers with his physicality. I also like Russell’s ability to shut down the short pass with his quick execution and strength.

Chapman Russell Chapman Russell 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Christian Academy Of Louisville | 2026 KY is another linebacker that has been on my radar for a while now and continued to show promise this past season. Russell lines up at outside linebacker where he is very impressive against the run. He does a great job of reading the play and has great closing speed, coming downhill in a hurry to get to the ball carrier. Once he gets to the ball carrier he does a great job of running his feet through contact to finish the tackle quickly. He finished this past season with 37 tackles and nine tackles for loss in 15 games. Chapman doesn’t currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on as his role in the CAL defense continues to grow.
