Ryan was an impact player on both sides of the ball for McDonogh in their win over St. Anthony’s (NY). I like him best at DB going overall but he is an athlete and was key target for QB

in the passing game. With a handful of catches both short & long. Ryan had a nice long reception for a TD in the game where he showed some nice playmaking ability after the catch, making defenders miss on his way into the end zone. One defense he possesses nice length and versatility, leading to multiple PBUs in the game. He can play both Safety spots and even lined up some at CB. Ryan is a physical player who can play in the box , run the alley and be strong in run support. Overall Ryan show good hands, ball skills and is a high IQ player.
Currently holding a handful of Power 4 offers, Ryan is a top rated prospect in his class and should seeing many more colleges come calling for his services in the future. I look forward to seeing more or Ryan over the years as he is a rising star in the state.
McDonogh (MD) 38, St. Anthony’s (NY) 21 at the Pigskin Classic in Delaware Friday. Great TEAM win! Solid day overall with several tackles, couple pbu’s, couple catches and a TD. Grateful for the opportunity 🙏🏽 @McDCoachSule @EdOBrienCFB @BigTimerCox @RocCarmichael… pic.twitter.com/NT0vPFMIZN

Drakeford is a safety who is versatile and physical. His highlights show that running support is his major strength on the football field. Drakeford takes good angles and uses his football instincts to diagnose plays early. Whether he’s lined up deep as a free safety or closer to the line of scrimmage, Drakeford seems to react quickly and attack downhill on a mission. He’s a reliable open-field tackler who wraps up nicely and limits yards after contact. Several of his highlights show his ability to read plays early, shed blocks or avoid traffic, and make stops behind the line of scrimmage. There are a few plays of him in pass coverage, but not a lot that show him in deep coverage or man-to-man situations. I’ve seen him in coverage situations at off-season non-college camps, so I know he can cover. Right now, on the field, he’s a safety who excels near the line of scrimmage and has the potential to also be a significant factor as a pass defender.
