Simms is a quick and reliable wide receiver who thrives in the short-to-intermediate passing game. A perfect fit for the slot but versatile enough to line up on the outside as well. Has a quick-twitch release off the line and is a solid route runner whose able to make mid-route adjusments to exploit the defense. Simms’ highlights include a 10-yard out, skinny post, 5-yard hitch, and a slant-and-go that show how effective he is with separating from the defender when he breaks. Lot of YAC in the highlights as well. Does a nice job of turning short passes into big gains. Another receive who would benefit from adding more strength and some weight to his frame.
