Russ had a solid weekend in Brownsburg’s big win over Zionsville: the 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back had one interception, eight tackles and two pass breakups. Russ is a solid, under-the-radar cornerback who can take it to the house after the interception and be very feisty in coverage.

Russ is heading into his 3rd year on varsity for Brownsburg and has continued to improve each year. He’s about as quick as anyone on a football field and his track background comes through when he’s covering ground. He also has great closing speed and can make tackles in the open field. All but 1 of his tackles last year were solos, so he was wrapping up when the ball came his way.
