About Josiah
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a fast and explosive WR/ATH who creates separation with route running and uses reliable hands to make plays. Although I’m undersized at 5’7”, I play outside of my frame with physicality and confidence. I take pride in being a versatile player who can impact the game from the slot or outside receiver. I work hard to understand defenses, compete every play, and be a dependable target for my QB.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a hardworking, disciplined, and competitive athlete who is always looking to improve. I enjoy being coached and take pride in being a great teammate. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or in the weight room, I strive to lead by example through effort, consistency, and a positive attitude.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
During the offseason, I am a part of the CE Stars 7v7 organization, where I continue to develop my skills, compete at a high level, and build strong relationships with teammates and coaches. While football is my primary focus, I take pride in representing my school and community. Athletics has taught me discipline, accountability, leadership, and time management.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed strong teamwork skills through football and athletics. Being part of a team has taught me accountability, communication, and how to support others while working toward a common goal. I strive to set a positive example through my work ethic and dedication.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of the biggest challenges I have faced is being considered undersized for my position. Instead of allowing it to limit me, I have used it as motivation to outwork others and prove myself daily. Through consistent work in the weight room, speed training, and skill development, I have become a stronger, faster, and more complete athlete. Being overlooked has helped me develop mental toughness.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that provides a strong academic education and an opportunity to compete at the Division I level. I want a program with a competitive culture, great coaching, and an environment that will help me grow as both a student and an athlete.
