Eglitis showed his potential tonight. He did a great job at picking up several reads in pass protection. Showed a good anchor and was relatively unbeatable off the edge. Pete got great push in the run game, and created several holes that resulted in big rushes.

Pete, now a Cyclone commit, was one of the more physical run blockers I saw last season. In person and on tape, his anchor is great in pass protection. He gets downhill well as a run blocker and will be one of the better offensive linemen in all of Ohio this season.

Santa made a quick stop in Columbus to grab some cookies and milk but noticed Eglitis along the way. The 6-foot-7, 280-pound offensive tackle has a prototypical size and frame, and helped lead Bishop Watterson to an undefeated state championship-winning season.

Eglitis is a dominant force at OT for Bishop Watterson, and will look to continue his path of dominance. He has overwhelming first contact and can knock rushers off balance. He has great lower half push when needed and can drive well. He loves to finish blocks with his rusher in the dirt, and he finishes quite often. Eglitis holds 3 D1 offers as of now and has been earning visits to several FBS programs throughout the season.

, a lineman from Bishop Watterson, already stands out not only for his impressive size at 6’7″ and 280 pounds but also for his impactful contributions to the team’s state title run as a sophomore.
Despite already possessing Division 1 size, Eglitis has plenty of room for physical development, which bodes well for his future in the sport. His role in the team’s success is evident through his elite down blocks, a crucial aspect of any successful offensive line play.
Moreover, Eglitis demonstrates skill in reaching the second level on inside zone plays, showcasing his ability to create vertical running lanes and open up opportunities for the running game to flourish. This ability speaks to his understanding of the game’s nuances and his effectiveness in executing his assigned responsibilities.
In pass protection, Eglitis has aggressiveness coupled with solid footwork, allowing him to effectively neutralize opposing pass rushers and provide a secure pocket. This combination of physicality and technique makes him a valuable asset in both the running and passing aspects of the game.
Given his young age and already impressive skill set, Eglitis’s stock in the football world is poised to soar as he continues to gain experience and refine his abilities through more reps. With each opportunity, he is likely to further establish himself as a dominant force on the field, garnering attention from college programs and scouts alike.

Eglitis is another offensive tackle who already possesses the length and size that college coaches covet. He’s 6’7 with long arms that he does a great job of using to his advantage. In the pass game he’s athletic and has a strong kick step that he can use to gain quick depth to cutoff the speed rush. In the run game he has the athleticism and foot speed to get out and pull or get to the second level. Pete has the frame that he’ll easily be able to fill out to 300 pounds with good weight. He just needs to continue to get stronger and more physically dominant. If he can do that, he’ll end up at a P4 school with a floor of a G5.
