Stats: 14 Tackles, 1 TFLrnThis one of my favorite seniors in WI. He is the epitome of physicality and a tone setter. The 5’11” 190 lbs senior LB flies around the field delivering big time hits. He has excellent range to be able to play out in space, and drop into coverage. Michael has very good short area agility too to make himself a hard target to land a block on for OL. King has also developed a reliable base of strength to be able to fight through blocks on the edge, especially against TEs. Michael has an innate ability to find the ball and get to it. I am confident that he can play at the next level with his skill set.

Michael has impressed me every time I’ve crossed paths with him. The 5’11” 190 lbs LB brings an exciting combo of athleticism and violence to the field. Michael showed off the athleticism at the Mega Camp in River Falls. He posted a 9’2″ broad jump, 34.7″ vertical, and a 4.71 40 yard dash. On tape, Michael flies around the field. He can rush the edge or drop into coverage and run with RBs, WRs, or TEs. King transitions that speed into hit power when tackling and also the ability to drive OTs off the ball despite being undersized. Michael is built to win out in space. He could be a key contributor at the next level in passing situations/ third down.

Checking in at 5’11” 187 lbs, the junior LB out of Racine Case had himself a day! He posted the fastest 40 of the group at 4.62 seconds, and broad jumped 9’3″. Michael is an undersized prospect, but fits the mold of a third down LB that can play in space and make an impact against the passing game. Michael has the effort, speed, and instincts to be a rangy LB. I really liked the confidence he played with in the one on one battles to end the day too. He got physical with the RBs, reacted well to the route breaks, and was able to run with them deep. I’m excited to see how he plays his senior season. Name to know.
