About Micah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My coaches always say I have a "nose for the football", I always know where the ball is going to be. I am explosive out of my stance, violent attacks to get to ball carrier, and smart gap filling. I am always willing to learn new techniques that help me excel and instill fear into my opponents. I want to be the scariest player on the field.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Never content with my personal performance, providing endless hours in the weight room and training with Chris Vaughn. I am always looking to get back at someone and make people never want to run back my way by being very physical. I am an Extrovert, and I enjoy doing things with my hands. I enjoy fishing, hiking, and any other outdoor activities. My friends and family call me the "Fish Whisperer"

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Aspirations (Chris Vaughn) - The Gym in Louisville, Kentucky that I work on my craft at. Chris pushes me to work hard and to give every last piece of myself in every workout we do.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Fellowship Christian Athletes Leader and Servant Leader on The Team. We do leader awards at the end of each season, and the coaches have had countless positive things to say about how I handle the team and keep them in it through the season. I possess natural leadership skills on and off the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was primed and excited to be named a starter my sophomore season, but I experienced a back injury during the first scrimmage. I bounced back quickly mid-season and never looked back. We won a 3A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP and lead the team in tackles. I followed this up with an amazing Junior Season: Lead team in tackles again and won another State Championship.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that excels in athletics and academics! One that will allow me to meet my goals and provide a large community that will help me to grow in strength of mind and body. I value a large community with tight knit friendships but am looking for a challenge.
