Patterson was recognized by someone on staff as possibly the most valuable player on their team, referencing the number of hats he can wear and his sheer versatility. Well, last night he contributed in-line as a blocker, as a receiver, and even pushed the ball downfield as a passer on a trick play. He looks even bigger this time around and moves really well for his size. If it’s even possible, I walk away from last night even more bullish on Patterson.

Patterson, one of the top TE prospects in the state, is committed to Pitt and is one of the most well-known prospects on this team. He is long, athletic, and a physical blocker who is capable of washing defenders down the line. According to his coaches, he could be the most valuable player on their offense. He is an easy eval from a traits perspective, but more attention was brought to his IQ and leadership by the staff.

He has the chance to prove that he is a top-100 player in the state of Georgia, as he is by far one of the better freak athletes on this list. I believe Patterson is going to be a star both this season and at the next level. He is one that I believe fans should keep tabs on, as he makes a push to crack the top-100, as he is just barely outside of the cut.

An old-school tight end with plenty of size and physicality, Patterson is a hybrid H-Back and tight end who can really open up running lanes all over the field. He can block in space in the screen game and can be a terrific in-line blocker on the edge. He consistently buried defenders into the ground and should see some opportunities to see some passes head his way as a senior in 2026. He’s one of the fastest-rising tight end prospects across the South right now with offers already this year from Texas A&M, Ohio State, Missouri, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, among others.
