Ford jumped on my radar last spring, and since then, his recruitment has been on a rocket ship that has surpassed over 2 dozen offers. He had a pretty ridiculous year against the ball as a junior, totaling over 20 PBUs and adding 4 INTs. He is a big corner with the size and length to get physical, but he is best working with cushion. He mirrors receivers beautifully at the top of routes, flashing the footwork and ability to decelerate and drive on the ball. He is sticky in coverage, so I think he will stick at corner long term.

An instinctive cornerback with quick feed, fluid hips and strong hands, Ford made a big impact last fall as a sophomore for one of the biggest programs in the state. Playing against outstanding competition week after week, Ford showed that he can make plays in coverage while being a dependable run defender. His best football is way ahead of him and he has a chance to fly up the rankings in the 2027 class. He earned a new offer this week from Yale and should see more come his way over time.
