Wilhelm got some varsity playing time as a sophomore but was stuck behind some P4 caliber upperclassmen. It was in his junior season where he was able to lockdown a starting role on the Eagles offensive line. While Mason played right tackle at Ed’s he projects to the interior offensive line at the college level. Wilhelm has a thick build and carries his 290 pounds well. Last month Wilhelm committed to North Carolina. He has good feet and shows the feet and athleticism to move laterally in a zone blocking type scheme that I think the Tar Heels could be moving to under new offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens.

Mason Wilhelm Mason Wilhelm 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL St. Edward | 2026 State OH is a budding offensive tackle who plays the right side with good form in both the run and pass protection. Good size and stature to protect the right side of the line, good arm length to defend off quick defensive ends. Effective on reach blocks with good reach with his legs while maintaining balance against pressure. Drives off blocks with good power in his lower body. Mirrors well when dropping into pass protection, upright squat position to absorb contact and fight back. Able to lock into blocks for extended periods, handles quick moves with good weight transfer. Wilhelm has already put together some good film against some high quality opponents, with more time Wilhelm is a name college coaches will be familiar with.
