About Lincoln
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I play at a very high level, very aggressive, but under control. I am always focused on the task at hand and I am able to control my emotions and excitement within the bounds of the game.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am quietly confident. I believe I can win every matchup in every game, and I prefer to let my play speak for me rather than screaming and pounding my chest. I am highly competitive and love every aspect of this game. I really enjoy off-season lifting and conditioning, practices, film, and anything else I can do to make myself better on the field.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am an active member of my church, and attend weekly sunday services and weekly youth activities. These are both a large part of my life off the field.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
As a 2nd year team captain on my football team, I have really had the opportunity to step up and lead the offense by example. I realize that my behavior on and off the field are visible by many people, even outside of football, and this glass house puts a lot of responsibility on my shoulders. Playing on the O-line has also created a sense of teamwork unlike anything I have experienced before.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Last year we truly believed we were the best football team in the state of Idaho, yet we lost in the semifinals to a good team. This was a huge blow to our entire team, especially since we were going to lose so many great seniors. This year our coaches and our team captains (myself) have worked very hard to build that same level of self confidence again, but with humilty.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that has a football team where I can make a measurable impact and see success. One with a team family mentality. My education is also VERY important to me, and I want to attend a college that will give me a great education that will bless me for the other 80 years of my life.
