Saw in-person multiple times during the season. Very underrated prospect. Very good LB, can also align in a three-point stance and set an edge from his spot at DE. Stout against the run and flashes great instincts. Has a chance to be great.

Bright’s growth has been noticeable each year. He’s a great athlete with a fantastic build for the middle of a defense. After just 4 tackles as a freshman, he improved to 45 as a sophomore. This year, he stepped up with 53 tackles, 6 TFLs, 3 sacks, and a fumble recovery, showing he can impact the game in multiple ways. His progress is hard to ignore, and it’ll be interesting to see how he builds on that as he heads into his senior year.

Bright has now put together solid back-to-back seasons and has turned into someone who comes through in big moments. He’s also developed quite a bit physically over the past year and it’s only helped him in almost every area across the board. He’s more aggressive at the line, confident in what he’s seeing develop, and has the IQ to put himself in a position to make the play. 102 tackles, 9 TFLs, and 4 sacks for Bright at the Varsity level, but there’s much more potential in the tank.

While there may not have been a huge statistical jump, Bright was consistent again in year 3 and is improving. He’s worked on his frame and it’s helped him in the trenches. So much so, that they’ve put him near the ball more and had him create pressure up front. He’s managed to get sacks against the best teams they’ve faced this year like Ben Davis and Carroll, some of the best programs in the State. With 38 tackles, 7 TFLs, and 3 sacks on the year, Bright should add to his totals again on Friday.

Bright is a talented defensive end prospect who flashes explosiveness. Bright has a quick first step and nose for the ball. He is a stout run defender, setting an edge but also quickly slanting inside against interior offensive linemen and wrapping up ballcarriers behind the LOS. He aggressively takes on double teams and displays a high motor. The Trojans will need every last bit of strength from him if they want to win a state title again.

Bright is a quickly developing linebacker who could take off this fall. He’s big, he’s strong, he’s got a good head on his shoulders, and has already made some plays that showcased he can at least hang at the Varsity level. He’s got a rare frame that you are looking for as well. In the past year, he’s also grown another inch + and put on about 25lbs of muscle. Bright looks impressive and is beginning to stand out, so there’s a good chance we hear a lot of his name this fall.
