Expert Analysis
Sam Erman | Prep Redzone Scout
Lange is an explosive back with good vision and acceleration. He sees holes as they develop, and he has the speed to explode through them. He doesn’t lose speed or momentum when cutting and making moves upfield. He’s so shifty that he’s able to make spaces look bigger than they are. His ability to continue accelerating up the field is a rare trait and makes him fun to watch. He averaged over 6 yards per carry while rushing for 926 yards and 13 TDs on the ground. I fully anticipate him being the workhorse for them next fall and someone who could fly up the national boards.

Lange has been a good piece for Center Grove this year and arguably just had his best game of the year when they needed it most. He’s incredibly explosive and has some of the best acceleration in the class. His feet are quick and they can follow his eyes. If he even gets the slightest crease, he can take it to the house. He only needed 12 carries on Friday to get 189 yards and score 3 TDs. It felt like there was a different sense of urgency from Lange on Friday, and the Trojans really benefited from him taking over.

Lange has good hands out of the backfield and gives the offense an extra dimension. He’s going to catch it when the ball comes his way and he’s got the speed and wiggle to make guys miss. I liked his ability to absorb contact and keep on his path. He’s got some juice when he gets the ball in his hands and has 3-down back potential.
