About Landon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a hard-nosed player who takes pride in being physical and disciplined. I fill gaps aggressively and come downhill to make plays. I’m strong in zone coverage and confident covering slot receivers when needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

On the field, I play with the mentality of a lion — aggressive, relentless, and always hunting the ball. Off the field, I’m grounded in my faith and strive to treat everyone with respect.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Football, being the ultimate team sport, has taught me what true leadership means — pushing myself to improve every day, motivating my teammates to give their best, and helping anyone who needs support. At St. Edward, community service is an important part of who we are. I fulfill my service by helping serve meals to those in need and volunteering at charitable events alongside my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I lost my grandmother a few years ago, and she was a significant part of my life. Every time I step on the field, I play in her honor. I take a moment before every game to think about her and say a prayer — she continues to motivate me to give everything I have.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a program that pushes for excellence on and off the field — in the classroom, the offseason, and in-season. A team that values academics, graduates its players, and sets them up for success after football.
