Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Bettendorf’s roster was filled with veterans absorbing a lot of reps this season, which limited Davis’ varsity opportunities. That should change next season with graduation losses coupled with his upside. Versatility and athleticism are two of his main strengths, which provides plenty of paths to the field thanks to position flexibility. We can witness the considerable upside when checking out his highlight video from this fall. It says he completed 69.5 percent of his throws for 1,088 yards and 13 touchdowns, while adding 735 yards (9.2 YPC) and 15 scores on the ground. He also chipped in with five receptions for 92 yards. In watching the film, it’s a good idea to keep developing Davis as a quarterback with the benefit of knowing he could be effective at other positions on the next level, too.
