Fonua has a good frame and can bulk up to fill out his frame without limiting his physical attributes. He is a good, athletic mover who has great twitch and suddenness to his game. Fonua has good footwork and showcases good physicality and active hands to get by his blocker. He uses his speed to get by the lineman and has good hip bend. Fonua has a good quick burst and finishes a play nicely. He diagnoses quickly and can develop into a hybrid DE/LB. He has good footwork and active hands that can potentially develop into a player to drop back into coverage. He’s an interesting and dynamic player with the raw tools to be molded and those traits should get him looks and offers.
