Samiu has put on good size this offseason. He has an excellent frame and, on the evening, displayed a quick first step and had good lateral quickness. He’s an athletic mover and has immense talent. He lined up against some of the top EDGE rushers in the state on the evening and showed why he is one of the top linemen in the class. Samiu shows a great base and has quick hands; he adapts quickly and is a player who will continue to garner P4 offers.

Samiu has a great ceiling. He is versatile and can play both sides of the trenches. He has the size and frame to potentially be an elite blindside tackle and is a great athlete and physical player to be an excellent interior Defensive Lineman. He should earn reps on both sides of the ball and this will be a big year for him. He projects as a Power-Four starter.

Taukiuvea is a tremendously talented player. He was a starter on the offensive line at Hunter and now transfers to West High. He is equally effective as an offensive lineman and a defensive lineman. Taukiuvea has a massive frame, and he carries his weight extremely well; he can add on an extra 15-25 lbs without limiting his skill set. He has quick footwork, is strong and physical and has good lateral quickness. His hands are quick and violent and have a great upside on either side of the ball. He’ll be a player who gets on the field, no matter the position; he’s simply too talented as an athlete.
