An under-the-radar defensive back in the 2026 class who is finally getting his varsity opportunity as a senior and doing a nice job is University’s Khalil Coleman Khalil Coleman 5'9" | 155 lbs | DB University | 2026 State WV . He’s had to be patient and wait for his turn among some talented skill players for the Hawks over the years as he physically matured, and Coleman is making the most of it in his final year. He’s playing corner this season and has the athletic traits to execute well at that position. Coleman may lack ideal size, but he moves extremely well and is agile and flexible to stick to his man. He’d be a great addition to a D3 program in the future.

He’s a smaller defensive back but is quick and flies around the field. Coleman’s skill set translates well at Nickel or free safety with good short-area quickness when playing tighter to the line of scrimmage and has slot receiver potential on offense as well. He should see some varsity opportunities this season in a talented defensive backfield.
