is a beast of a defensive lineman for Knoxville Catholic High School. Great hustle player to chase down the QB and shows excellent lateral agility to get down the line of scrimmage on the backside of runs. Smith is strong at the point of attacks with good hand usage and physicality to constrict run lanes. Good penetration, he disrupts the backfield and beats blocks with nice athletic ability.

was a terror to stop for Brevard High Schools offensive line. He created disruption for the entirety of the game with amazing quickness and play strength. When pass rushing, he created pressure on almost every pass rush rep with dominant hand usage and physicality. Against the run, Smith had multiple tackles for loss and at the line of scrimmage with good technique to stack and shed.

is a prototypical 3-tech with the size and explosiveness needed at the position. His 1st step burst is unbelievable and makes guards lives miserable on the field. Smith is a good speed to power rusher, and he bullies OL with strength and length. Great speed in pursuit versus the run and the pass with the effort you’d like to see from an offensive lineman. Against the run, he is a penetrative 1 gap type of player that lives in opponent’s backfields.

Last year as a junior, Smith took it upon himself to step forward as a leader and provide consistent play from the interior of the D-line but he has bigger aspirations for his senior year and this Fighting Irish defender has been putting together a strong offseason thus far to do just that. Holding a few offers in hand at the moment, Smith still sits under the radar but has a big opportunity this summer at camps to establish himself as a legit recruit and one of the top D-line prospects not only from the East Tennessee region but the entire state as well. Smith is a versatile guy that is currently built best to play inside but can slide to the edge within a 3-4 defense and provide a pass rush. That’s what I like the most about this East Tennessee talent is his ability to rush the passer as well as handle multiple roles across the defensive front. He does need to keep getting bigger, putting on more weight while also gaining more strength but the frame is there to do just that. This guy is a worker and someone who appears to enjoy the process and the game of football, so college coaches may love to mold Smith into a formidable D-lineman that works well against the run but can also provide a pass rush from the middle.
