His 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame and elite ball skills will be valuable assets for any college team who lands him. Elkins also has excellent closing speed, wasting no time getting from Point A to Point B, and delivers heavy hits. Warren Central returns Fox and Elkins this year, and the two could be enough to propel them to Lucas Oil Stadium and compete for a 6A state title.

Seeing the 6-foot-3, 185-pound safety in-person during the season at a practice only made me think the best is yet to come. Elkins’ size, arm length and ball skills are elite. A versatile and very athletic prospect, Elkins can break up passes easily, undercut routes and be a playmaker no matter where he aligns.

Elkins’ height, arm length, and ability to break on the ball are outstanding. He made two acrobatic interceptions during both the team period as well as 7-on-7, and he flashes elite ball skills and leaping ability. Along with his skills on the field, he also strikes me as someone who has matured as a person.

Elkins is an incredible athlete with a frame that gets you excited about his potential. He’s as quick and twitchy as anyone you’ll see with that length. He bends well, has a good football IQ in the backend, and knows how to jump routes. His ability to create turnovers and prevent completions last year hampered offenses. While his 32 tackles might not be monumental, his 6 interceptions and 8 passes deflected have eyes his way. The 3-star recruit sits on offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Kansas.
