Smith worked with the defensive backs. He has also listed himself as a linebacker. With his size and ability to move in space I could see him as a hybrid linebacker at the college level. For his size and weight Smith moves really well. He has hips on a swivel and is fluid in his turn to run. He’s good in press coverage where he has heavy hands and is able to slow receivers in their release. He’s sticky in coverage.

Smith has broken out for Warren Central in a big way when they needed someone to step up the most. He’s a good athlete with good vision. He can roam the entire field when needed and come flying up to play the run. He’s confident and trusts what he sees. He has no issue tackling on the outside in 1 on 1 situations. He knows how to force guys back inside and set his teammates up for success. His 92 tackles, 6 TFLs, 1 sack, and 1 interception all showcase his potential. He’s talented and someone I think who can really be successful long-term.

is a very fast linebacker who can come out of a backpedal, quickly get downhill and deliver big hits. His instincts and closing speed are outstanding, he wastes no time getting from Point A to Point B, and is a strong tackler in space.
