The talented pass-catcher from the state champion Whirlies recently committed to play for Charlotte and new coach Tim Albin, giving the 49ers a talented player to kick off their 2026 recruiting class. With 953 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns last season, Kaden is shaping up to have an even bigger season statistically with Grimsley having one of the best quarterbacks in the nation returning and everyone in the state gunning for them. Kaden’s speed, route running, and vertical abilities are all top notch and he has a special ability to rise up in clutch moments and get the job done consistently.

Catoe can — and did — take the top off of defenses. He was impressive all season, but he really caught our attention when he torched Weddington’s elite defense for seven catches, 188 yards, three touchdowns, something I haven’t seen happen in half a decade. Catoe isn’t just a speedster, he’s nuanced in his releases and route-running, two things that allow him to get behind defenses.
